Motivational Monday (3 Tips for Success)
This week I will be traveling to ZCON (Zumba Convention) to learn and party. I can’t believe that two years ago I was just existing in my own story and now I’m head lining in my life. So many times we put limitation on what we think we can’t do. If only we would take the time to push ourselves just a little to make a difference in our lives. I get inboxes all the time from individual that say “I can’t do Zumba” and my reply to them is “let go and let god” and “you can do anything you put your mind too”. The reason I do what I do is because someone had my back a long time ago and told me I could do the impossible and I took a leap of faith and now look at me. My body is not where I want it to be. I would love to release another 200lbs; however, it starts in the mind first. I realize that I have to learn to be okay with the me inside in order to change the appearance of the me on the outside. I always tell people that before I started this journey or this blog I wonder who would I be “not fat”? Took me a great while to learn that weather a size 34, 24, 14, or even 4 I will still be the me on the inside and that’s the part that needs the most work. This maybe your first time reading my blog and if so let me say that this journey you have decided to do is not easy, BUT it is necessary and worth it. When you feel the new you inside you will wake up alive and brand new. A couple of tips for the journey:
Tip 1: It’s okay to be scared of the transformation. The transformation is not the hard part the new mind set is what will blow you away.
Tip 2: Find you some accountability partners that love and have your best at heart. Because when you can’t find the strength to keep going those will be the ones that give you the “get your mind speech”.
Tip 3: Enjoy the journey!!! Don’t take yourself so serious. It took years to gain the weight; therefore, it will take more than one salad and a gym visit to release it. So learn who you are and what you like. This is a life style change not just another trend.
I hope these tips help you and that your journey gives you knew discovery and new meaning for your life. For me it opens up my eyes to the possibility and the changes. Be blessed and happy releasing!
